our thoughts. the differences.

its common how we generate different views of one matter when we're all humans living on the same earth, breathing in the same kind of air. well, tats because despite living on similar resources, we are all individuals with 'brains' or rather 'minds' which are unique to each of us. our thoughts differ, though at times may find their compromising note.

generally, our principles of life and personal experiences more or less helps to mould our character. though parents' upbringing and education does play some parts. in a way or so, our thoughts and judgement are affected by all these factors. the angle from which we onlook a certain matter may sometimes be similar to that of others, but the internal results which our individual mind generates are usually unique. this is due to the fact that each of us went through different personal experiences which somehow affects our mindsets and actions to certain degrees.

for example, john was an orphan since young while george has a healthy family all along. when they both happens to know of a situation of a boy being abandoned by his parents, in natural cases, john would have felt more for the poor boy than george. reason being john would have most probably been through similar situation as the boy and would naturally be able to understand more of the pain and lost which the boy would have felt at that time. im not saying that george, being the more fortunate one, has lesser empathy or is unfeeling. its just that one really needs a certain depth of understanding of a situation to really comprehend how the other felt truly. and to me, the depth of understanding of a situation can be best achieved through self-experience. guess it all boils down to the old saying "try putting yourself into others' shoe to know what is it really like to be them"

You Have a Sanguine Temperament
You are an optimistic person who is easily content. You enjoy casual, light tasks - never wanting to delve too deep into anything.A bit fickle, it's easy for you to change plans or paths when presented with something better.
You enjoy all of the great things life has to offer - food, friends, and fun.A great talker, you can keep the conversation going for hours. You are optimistic and sure of your success. If you fail, you don't worry about it too much.
At your worst, you are vain. You are obsessed with your own attractiveness.A horrible flirt, you tend to jump into love affairs and relationship drama easily. You're very jealous - which just magnifies the craziness around you.
What Temperment Are You?

why do all things seem to go wrong, just when i needed them right.

all i wanted was just to do something simple, something nice. but i just found out that when you're really down on your luck, even a simple thing can go very wrong. and i just dont understand why it has to happen on me.

you are the greatest gift that god could bestow on me.
and i'd thought i could be the one to give you all you ever need or wanted.
i really thought i could...
till the day you went away in tears.

you heard about wat some ppl said during their breakups. "i love you but i had to let you go". to some of them, its not about i dont love you anymore or i love you lesser now. its about i really love you, but i had to let you go despite all the love and pain that could come. and the reasoning behind all these, the let-go party just wanted the other to go fer something better. simply because she deserved it. how touching. but unfortunately, it happens rarely.

just some random thoughts. the aftermaths of watching some tv.

on the lighter note, today's a special day! its my dearest edelina jie de birthday!

happy birthday to you,
happy birthday to you,
happy birthday, happy birthday...
happy birthday to you!

and congrats on your dream come true! jia you! =)

to yf:

sometimes the road ahead can be really tough,
when darkness surrounds and there seems to be no help around.
each day the thunderstorms came on without fail,
along with no-stopping killer waves that hit us hard each time we try to hold ourself up.
but we must really hang on, for we must believe ... at least in ourselves
that the light at the end of tunnel is gonna be nearer each time we pick ourselves up.

we must be strong enough to walk on in order to witness our own destiny. what fate had already laid out for us till now isnt important, they would be past tense the next moment. the important point is that we can write the future and nobody can determine what it'll be like, except ourselves. remember, always. when we believe, we can.
