the man who is wiser is not necessarily the one who sees morethey say man grow wiser everyday as time passes by. that is, we see and come across more things and people in life, therefore became wiser. however, this is purely on the assumption that we do learn something from those experiences. like im sure what most of us had gone through and are still going through in life, when we learnt that something is not right in doing, we just dont do it anymore. we considered this as learning, or rather, growing up. which is a part and parcel of life, and in which we are engaging in every breathing second on earth.
however, contrary to the assumption, we actually may or may not get wiser with more counts of experience. meaning, more experience doesnt necessarily always equates to getting wiser. the measurement of a man is not really by how long he lives or how much he had gone through, but that of how much he had learnt and grown from it. in fact, most of us may went through alot (times), and still ended up repeating the same old mistakes dont we? so now let us seek solace in human nature for a minute, and say humans were made to be this way, imperfect most of the times and trying to seek perfection always. therefore, we do not always learn from experience.
okay, the minute ended and let us now see the possible reason why we do not learn.
most importantly, we have to admit, we are stubborn creatures. most of the times, we do not wish to change. instead, we demand for the external factors to change and blend into the picture. how selfish was that. and well, it boils down to the point that we dont put ourselves in others' shoes and understand views from their points. like, we are the only ones important on this earth. sometimes, we even tend to initiate certain changes to make things comfortable for ourselves, without a regard for others. and when they do give in to us, we happily and gradually took it for granted. but remember, people give in to you not because they're afraid of not giving in, but the thought that since non of us are perfect thus willing to provide an exception. and exception means no more 'another time', only this once. it is not to be taken for granted, but is meant for self-reflection.
self-reflection serves as a strong motivation for change, for the better i mean. but sadly, it doesnt always work, though most of the times it does very well. well, it allows you to reflect, know the mistakes and understand how you can go about avoiding them. but still you can make the same mistakes again. self-reflection according to me, is like a car without fuel. and the car has a destination, whatever it may be. the fuel, which is the source of going-forward, is our determination.
self-reflection without real determination to change for the better is just like a car without fuel, you just keep trudging on the same ground and not moving any forward.

| You Are An ENFJ |
 The Giver
You strive to maintain harmony in relationships, and usually succeed. Articulate and enthusiastic, you are good at making personal connections. Sometimes you idealize relationships too much - and end up being let down. You find the most energy and comfort in social situations ... where you shine.
In love, you are very protective and supporting. However, you do need to "feel special" - and it's quite easy for you to get jealous.
At work, you are a natural leader. You can help people discover their greatest potential. You would make a good writer, human resources director, or psychologist. How you see yourself: Trusting, idealistic, and expressive
When other people don't get you, they see you as: Bossy, inappropriate, and loud |
